Tools & Store upgrades
Tool upgrades from the Store: axe and pickaxe heads and handles, and the tools of the other skills.
Tools work automatically
You do not need to equip an axe or pickaxe from the Bank to start their gathering skills. The game uses the tool upgrades you own.
These are permanent character upgrades bought in the Store. They are separate from the weapon and armour used for combat.
Heads and handles
- Axe heads and pickaxe heads improve gathering damage.
- Handles improve the pace of the tool’s swing.
- Other skills have their own lines: a fishing rod, cookware, a lifting kit and lockpicks for Thieving, a sickle, a mortar, and Auto Eat for combat.
Upgrade costs
Upgrades ask for the appropriate levels, gold and materials. Inspect the next tier before choosing what to gather or sell.
A better setup brings a tree or rock down in fewer swings. Use the in-game activity information to compare your options.
Supplies are different
General Supplies are consumable items bought with game currency. Food, seeds and crafting inputs have different uses from a permanent tool upgrade.
Check what a bundle contains and how it fits your next activity. The Store is an in-game shop; these wiki entries are not describing a real-money purchase.
