Woodcutting
Turn a grove into timber for bows, arrows, equipment and tool upgrades.

Choose a grove
Open Woodcutting, select a tree you have unlocked, and start the activity. Your adventurer is at the tree at once and chops it. When its bar runs out you get a log, the tree takes a short breather and its bar fills again. Everyone chopping in that grove works the same tree beside you.
A felled tree pays its log and Woodcutting experience. The server and the visible world follow the same activity schedule.

Axe upgrades
Axes work automatically. Permanent upgrades in the Store improve the axe head and handle; they are not pieces you need to equip from the Bank.
Tree health, damage and swing pace determine the work needed. There is no fixed number of hits that applies to every axe. After each log the tree takes a short breather and its health fills again.
What the logs are for
Fletching turns the different woods into arrow shafts and bows. Timber also contributes to ranger equipment and other recipes. Check an item's uses before selling everything you gather.
Bird nests are occasional finds that help with Farming, and there are other rare finds to discover.
