Crafting your next upgrade
Smithing, Fletching, Herblore and Artifice turn gathered materials into useful equipment and preparations.
How recipes work
Artisan recipes take ingredients from the Bank and repeat while the activity runs and supplies last. Browse the available recipes, inspect the costs and output, and start the one you want.
Recipe duration depends on what is being made. Keep enough materials and Bank room for the intended batch.
The four benches
- Smithing: smelt ore into bars, then make metal armour, blades and arrowtips.
- Fletching: turn logs into shafts and bows, make arrows, and craft ranger equipment.
- Herblore: brew herbs and other ingredients into potions with charges for particular skills.
- Artifice: work essence and other resources into runes, staffs, robes and accessories.
Trace your ingredients
The game’s item information shows where each ingredient comes from. A missing material may come from another skill or a combat area.
You do not choose a permanent class when crafting. One adventurer can build and use different combat setups as their skill levels and equipment grow.
Potions
Herblore potions support a skill for a number of actions. Check the active slot, effect and remaining charges when planning a session.
The same ingredients may be useful in more than one recipe. Keep your next goal in mind before selling or spending the whole stack.
