Major update

Capes and characters

Seventeen capes are in the game, and the last five mage sets finish every robe tier. One login holds up to three characters, and there is a Trade channel, open Market slots and a Well you can pay to choose the blessing.

Capes

  • Seventeen capes: from the Thornmantle and the Thornbound Mantle at level 22 to the Everdawn cape at 113 and the Sanctum Mantle at 115: the Quarry, Mire, Silvermere, Ember, Bluefault, Moonwell, Highwind and Dawn capes, the Shadowthread Cape, the Watchfire Cloak, the Cinderheart Mantle, the Moonward Cloak and the Mooncaller Veil.
  • How they hang: a cape starts under your helmet, lies close to your armour and swings back with your legs when you walk, run and fight. The long ones are for the top tiers. Your hair is tucked under it.
  • The Archivist's cape: a look for a complete Collection Log, worn until you put it away.
  • Weapons on your back: a weapon is only ever drawn in your hand, never on your back. Bows and greatswords stand off the bulkier armour when they are put away.
  • In town: your weapon stays in your hand while you walk, run and rest in town, and goes away only when you start work.

The last mage sets

  • Five new robes: Bluefault, Moonwell, Highwind, Dawn and the Everdawn silk have their own look now, on both bodies. Every robe tier from Grove to Dawn has its set, and from level 50 their accents glow.

Characters and chat

  • Up to three characters: a login that is not a guest can hold three characters. The Characters window is in the Menu: add one, switch between them, each is played, saved and kept busy on its own. A mute or a ban holds for all of them.
  • Trade: a chat channel for buying and selling that everyone reads, in a tab of its own. One line every 20 seconds.
  • Private messages: private messages are open to everyone now unless you chose otherwise, so a line you read in Trade can be answered in a private message. Friends only and No one are still in the Friends window.
  • Low power: a frame rate of 15 a second in Settings, and a page nobody is looking at asks the chat less often.

Market, the Well and titles

  • Open slots: buy up to five more open Market slots with gold, at prices from 500,000 to 40,000,000 each.
  • Choose the blessing: pay 2,000,000 gold at the Crossing Well to fill an open cup at once with the blessing you name. It lights for everyone, and it asks twice before it takes the gold.
  • Master and Grandmaster: every skill has a Master title at level 99 and a Grandmaster title at 120.
  • Titles stand out: a title now has a colour and a mark by how hard it was to get: Prime in blue with a diamond, Master in purple with a four-pointed star, Grandmaster and the big Town Tasks and Collection Log titles in orange with a star, and the rarest in magenta. It stands over your name above your head in the world and in chat.
  • One drop-down: your titles are chosen from a single list on your profile, with the ones you have not earned yet locked and their hover saying how each is earned.

Bank and Mining

  • Junk: items that are only for selling carry a Junk tag, and keepsakes carry a Keepsake tag. Sell junk lists what goes and sells it in one sale, and nothing a recipe uses or a keepsake is ever on it.
  • Coal: the Mining web has two coal notables: Coal Seam gives one more coal from every coal rock, and Stoker's Eye gives a chance of one more.

Changes and fixes

  • XP: combat, Fletching and Farming give a little less XP than they did. What you have already earned stays as it is.
  • Boosted levels: show to a tenth of a level, in the Combat window and on the equipment window, not as a long string of digits.
  • Windows: the Guilds window and the Events tab inside Town Tasks scroll to their last line, and the feedback form keeps the kind you chose.
  • Phone: the Goals band takes less of the screen and folds with a labelled Hide button.
  • The Reedstilt: the fishing pet no longer has two reed stalks that looked like legs that never moved.
