Quivers and a rebuilt server
This week's biggest work was on the game server, to make room for many more players. Ranged gets stronger arrows with traits and three new quivers, and a vote now brings you a Vote Chest.

A rebuilt server
- Less work for each player: the server keeps your adventurer ready while you play, and your page only asks when something is about to change. If nothing changed, the server says so instead of sending everything again.
- The result: each player now takes about half the work on the live server. On a copy of the server with test players, it holds about three times as many players.
- The others, for real: at a tree or a rock, other adventurers swing, rest and land critical hits when they really do.
- iPads: the town uses much less memory, which should stop the crashes after a while in town.
- Fixes: a slow memory leak is gone. If the game is ever stopped, you now see a maintenance page, and the game tells you when it can't reach the server.
Stronger arrows
- Arrows matter more: arrows now carry more of a ranger's strength and the bow less, the same split runes have for magic. Arrows of your bow's tier hit as hard as before. Older arrows hit up to a fifth less hard, and better ones hit harder.
- Arrow traits: from Silver up, the arrows in your quiver lend a trait. Keen, Piercing and Brutal, each stronger than the last, add crit chance and crit damage and ignore part of a foe's damage reduction. Everdawn arrows give +10% crit chance, +60% crit damage and ignore 30% of damage reduction.
- Keep more: the chance to keep an arrow or a rune now goes up to 80%. Food stays at 50%.
- Quivers: a new Fletching tab makes the Fletcher's Quiver (level 20, keeps 20% of your arrows), Ranger's Quiver (level 50, 30%) and Windrunner's Quiver (level 80, 40%). They go in the cape slot and have no defence or hit points.
- Feathers: every bird's nest now holds feathers too, more from a taller tree.
Vote for Evertrail
- Vote Chest: the Vote button opens VibeTopList, and a chest lands in your bank after you vote. You can vote again 12 hours later.
- What's inside: gold, food and a gem. Now and then a chest holds a title: Trailblazer, Herald of the Trail or Voice of Evertrail.
Changes and fixes
- Market: buy offers from players who have reached their buy limit now wait out of sight, so the list shows what can really be bought.
- Exploration: the Keeper's Trail opens at level 110. Older saves now get the leads they were owed, so Mysteries I and II can be finished.
- Combat: the Loot tab shows this fight's haul. Every blow at the Ember Matron counts whole. Each attunement rank on rings, amulets and capes adds a tenth of their bonus.
- Skills: bench cards show the Oath of the Rush. The Herblore tier ladder counts Old Recipes, and a potion keeps the tier you drank it at. A Golden Gourd pick pays three quarters of the Great Oak's XP.
- Enchanting: a new roll says in plain words which one is stronger and which is the better pick.
- Store and Guilds: type any amount of a supply to buy, up to 100,000 bundles. You can search every Guild's tasks and reach your current foe in one press.
- Screens: a pinned project lists everything it still needs, and hovering a pet on a profile says when it came. Settings has three tabs and a Show other adventurers switch. The top bar has no titles now, with the gold beside the Store. The Support window has a fitting room for trying on looks.
- Phones and sign-up: world events have their own card on phones, and the iPhone Home Screen app fits properly. Sign-up asks for your password twice.
- World events: the game asks first before a press takes you out of an event.
