Major update

A new look, and friends

The whole screen is new: one bar across the top, a Menu for everything else, a chat that is easier to read, profiles as character sheets, and friends with private messages. With tutorial XP, a cleaner chat, trading in shared homes, cheaper bank spaces and more since the last notes.

The new screen: one bar across the top, the chat with private messages above it, and the world behind

A new look

  • One bar: your adventurer, title, clan, total level, gold and bank sit on the left of one bar across the top. What you are doing hangs from its middle with your next goal under it, and the world event, the Store, the Journal and Friends sit on the right.
  • Menu: everything else is one press away, in three groups: Adventure, Community and Account. New things will land there too.
  • The chat: easier to read. Long messages wrap under the name, titles sit after the name, and clan, news and event lines each have their own colour at the edge.
  • Profiles: press a name to open their character sheet: their figure in the gear they wear, every skill, their best find and the monsters they have beaten. Message, Add friend, Ignore and Report are on it too.
  • Interface scale: the game now starts at 90%, which suits the new look. If you chose your own scale before, it stays. Change it any time in Settings.
  • On a phone: the Menu sits at the top, and Skills, Gear, Bank, Friends and Chat at the bottom.

Friends

  • Friends: add friends by their adventurer's name, see who is online and what they are doing, and answer friend requests. Friends is in the top bar.
  • Private messages: press Message on a friend to write to them. Messages show above the chat for a few minutes and stay in the chat's Private tab. Choose who may message you: friends, everyone or no one.
  • Ignore: someone you ignore can't message you or send you a friend request, and you no longer see what they say in chat.
  • Report: report a chat line, a message or a profile from its menu. Our staff see it with the lines around it.

Also new since the last notes

  • Tutorial XP: every task in the tutorial now gives XP in its own skill, so your first levels come quicker.
  • A cleaner chat: slurs and hate are stopped before anyone sees them, and trying again and again mutes your chat for a while.
  • Market: players who share a home or a network can now trade with each other.
  • Bank spaces: the price of each space you buy now climbs much more slowly, so the last spaces are within reach.
  • World events: after Join and Go now you can go back to work and still be taken along when the event starts.
  • The Events window: the Tokens tab no longer runs over itself on bigger interface scales.
  • Fishing: the rod no longer shakes while a catch hangs from it.
  • The Traveler: the tunic, legwear and boots every adventurer starts in now have a look of their own, in cream and teal.
  • Faster loading: after an update your browser only downloads what changed.
  • Estimates: the times shown for fights and dungeon runs are more accurate.
  • Zone sets: a finished set is told once, not again for every spare piece that drops.
  • The Ember Matron: above level 99 her rewards now match the other events.
  • Safer: a handful of security fixes.
