The combat update, and no more walking
One Combat button, gear with lines, Enchanting, Combat Mastery, the Trials and their Loot vault. Every activity now starts on the spot, and woodcutting and mining work one tree or rock.

The combat update
- One Combat button: the six combat skills on the left are now one Combat button with your combat level. Hover it, or hold it on a phone, to see all six levels.
- The Combat window has five tabs: Fight, Melee, Ranged, Magic and Core, with your levels shown big at the top.
- Gear lines: gear can drop with extra lines of bonus stats, from tier I to VII. Better grades roll more lines.
- Enchanting: a new window in the dock. Imbue a chosen line onto a piece, Reforge its lines, Salvage what you do not need, or Engrave an effect. Smithing enchants melee gear, Fletching ranged gear, and Artifice magic gear and jewellery.
- An enchanted piece becomes its own item in your bank, with a mark on its icon. The rest of the stack stays as it was.
- Combat Mastery: from level 50 in a style you earn Mastery points for that style's board (Melee, Ranged, Magic and Core), each with Oaths to choose from.
- The Trials: from level 50 in a style, choose the Trials under Choose a fight. Climb tier by tier against stronger foes with modifiers, watch out for the Herald, and see how many kills are left to the next tier. The Trials have their own leaderboards.
- Loot vault: what the Trials drop waits in the Loot vault. Move a piece to your bank to wear it, or salvage it into gems.
- Clan bosses can be called at Trial tiers.
- Spells are chosen in the Loadout, which shows the runes each spell needs and how many casts you hold. The spellbook is gone.
- A new picker for your gear slots, with every piece's icon and Power.
- Short guides the first time you open Mastery, the Trials or Enchanting. The ? button shows them again.
No more walking
- Straight to work: starting an activity puts you at the spot right away. No more walking out of town or across a world.
- One tree, one rock: woodcutting and mining work one tree or rock that stays standing. When its bar runs out you get your log or ore, take a short breather, and the bar fills up again. Everyone working there gathers around the same tree.
- The Travel Pace upgrades are gone from the Store, and everything you paid for them is back in your bank.
The dock and the bank
- The dock is now Gear, Loadout, Running, Enchanting and Mastery.
- Running shows everything that keeps working while you are away: your activity, the farm, the bench queue, the scout, potions, the Trials and your clan's boss.
- The bank button at the top now says Bank.
- On a phone the bar at the bottom is Skills, Gear, Running, Enchanting, Mastery, Bank and Log. Combat is in Skills.
Also new
- Leaderboards and profiles now keep moving while you idle offline. After 24 hours away your activity stops and your adventurer rests in town. Start again whenever you like.
- New plate armour: copper, iron, bronze, steel, silver and deepiron.
- Every weapon is held in one hand now, staffs too.
- An Eat button for every activity that costs hit points, thieving included.
- Bows need arrows, as spells need runes. New adventurers start with 250 copper arrows.
- Sigils are retired, and everyone who had one got its materials back. Runes are no longer sold in the Store: make them with Artifice.
- Fletching, Smithing and Artifice are sorted into tabs by what they make.
- Every fourth burnt dish still turns into compost for Farming, and now you can see it happen.
- Guests choose a login before they can log out, so no adventurer gets lost.
- The chat no longer flickers, and Rare finds from skilling no longer fill the news.
- Online dots on the leaderboards show who is playing right now.
- The town's resting crowd sits on its benches, and many small visual glitches are fixed.
